PluginFarm.com Review

A Fun, Functional (and Sometimes Frustrating) Treasure Trove

If PluginFarm.com were a theme park, it’d be the kind where you’re not sure where the entrance is, but once inside, you discover a world of rides you never knew you wanted. Sure, it’s a little untidy and confusing at first glance, but if you keep scrolling
(pro tip: just scroll down—everything’s there), you’ll find a goldmine of useful stuff.

Pricing: Freebies and Deals Galore

Let’s start with the wallet-friendly options:

  • Free Plan: Two downloads and two requests per day—ideal for the casual clicker.
  • Premium Plan: At £4.95/month, you get 10 downloads and 5 requests per day. Basically, you’re leveling up without breaking the bank.
  • Platinum Annual Plan: For $39.95/year, it’s unlimited downloads, 15 requests per day, faster speeds, hosting features, and 50GB of disk space. That’s less than a round of drinks, and it comes with fewer regrets.

Download Speeds: Fast Enough to Keep You Happy

The download speeds are fine—neither lightning-fast nor teeth-grindingly slow. Single downloads chug along nicely, though I had to restart one file in a multi-download session. Let’s just call it “character building.” Its a new site and I am sure this will be sorted out in the near future. Unless “its intentional you non premium peasant!” then ….. please hold. 🙂

So, What’s on Offer?:

Here’s a quick rundown of the digital delights available: (At time of writing)

  • WordPress Themes: 33
  • WordPress Plugins: 68 (plus 20 premium ones!)
  • Adobe Photoshop Kits: 5
  • Canva Templates: 4
  • Shopify Themes: 3 (but zero plugins—cue sad trombone)
  • Davinci Resolve Goodies: 1
  • Assorted Free Downloads: 8

Oh, and there’s also a WordPress testing ground! It’s like a sandbox for your your potential plugin/theme download.

Website Design: Functional Chaos

  • The layout could use a little TLC. Content isolation with a navigation menu would work wonders for those of us who expect like for like things gathered in the same place.
  • Can we get a night mode? The high-contrast colors left me seeing phantom menus on my walls long after I logged off. Or maybe that’s just my old eyes.
  • A nice feature to have would be a daily download counter so that we could keep on top of our daily limits. The current system warns you when you have exceeded your limit, but you dont know until the site pulls up the handbrake on you.
Another thing: If you download any of the free to download options, it appears to count towards your daily limit! So…
Pro Tip: Download in the free section last after your more important downloads.
  • The site currently advertises the number of downloads that have taken place for each theme or plugin. Now I know I am old, but at 1st I thought there were (541) versions of GeneratePress. Then I realised that Wheeeu —it’s just a DL counter. Its probably not needed. It could be replaced with a sorted “popular downloads” section anywhere on the site.

Room for Improvement:

  • A question I kept asking myself is: Are these downloads hacked, nulled, or mass-purchased? A little clarity would be great.
  • The hosting application process is a bit of a mess—it doesn’t recognize your subscription, leaving the admin to sort things manually. Not ideal and potentially exploitable.
  • Account overviews and subscriptions could use their own dedicated page instead of being buried under the downloads section.
  • The screen shots for themes and plugins are too few and the current images cannot be enlarged. Now it may be my old eyes again, but I suspect that this could be improved upon. (Wanna give me a job? I’ll do it for you.)

The Bright Side: Regular Updates and Great Support

The admin deserves a standing ovation for adding fresh content daily and keeping you informed about updates to previously downloaded files. If they keep this up, PluginFarm’s future looks brighter than my screen in “before dark mode.” 😉

Conclusion:

PluginFarm.com is a delightful mix of value, utility, and just enough quirks to keep things interesting. The free tier is incredibly generous, and the paid plans are affordable enough to make you wonder how they’re pulling it off.
The downloads I have made this far are ticking along quite nicely in the ring fenced, test bed surrounded by machine gun turrets!
No hacks or suspicious traffic as yet (I’ll keep you posted.) So I have to say, the files look clean and healthy. Well done Admin.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Just bring a map and maybe some sunglasses for the color scheme. Cheers to PluginFarm for doing what they do & inviting me to create this review.

—keep up the good work!
